Your Music Teacher
Hi, I'm Nathan! I was born & raised in Colorado Springs and I grew up in a home that cultivated a love for music. I've been singing around the dinner table since before I can remember, started taking piano lessons when I was 5, and am proficient in 8 different instruments - piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, trumpet, trombone, & voice (although the piano is my first love). Music continues to be a driving force and a great passion in my life.
If I'm not at church, teaching piano lessons, or with my family, you can find me volunteering my time and talent with local businesses and non-profits, jamming with my buddies, or geeking out over the latest and greatest music technology with anyone who will listen to me.
I'd love to connect with you and learn more about the role you want music to play in your life!
We recommend my first & basic piano adventures for new students grades 1-5 and recommend students grade 4 and up start with piano adventures accelerated & pre-bigtime. Adult beginners can pick their own curriculum, use adult piano adventures, or learn individual songs.
We encourage students to bring song requests from the music that inspires them! Many children want to learn songs from their favorite
movie, video game, or pop artist - we are seriously down with that.

Our Students Love Us!
BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO TAKE OUR WORD FOR IT
We have one of the highest student retention rates of any piano studio we know. We love that we get to grow alongside our students and have frequently had the privilege of being with our students for their entire middle school and high school careers!
Here at Piano Lab of Colorado Springs, we pride ourselves on the ability to teach piano in a number of different genres & styles. We believe the best way to learn the piano is by playing what engages you.
Middle schoolers and up can continue through the piano adventures series while adding intermediate classical repertoire, jazz improvisation, pop piano, blues, and make song requests from the music that inspires them.
Adult students - choose your own adventure! Want to improve your music reading skills? Learn to play Billy Joel? Modern Classical? We will tailor lessons to your needs and curate a list of exciting songs to learn.
